Four more take oath for Punjab’s interim cabinet

Caretaker Punjab chief minister Hasan Askari Rizvi on Thursday inducted four more members to his cabinet.

The new members took oath from Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana at a ceremony held at the Governor House.

With the addition of Saeedullah Babar, Sardar Ilyas Itanve, Nauman Kabir and Chaudhary Faisal Mushtaq, the strength of the provincial cabinet has increased to 10.

Babar has been given the charge of the Ministry of Housing, Ilyas of Agriculture and Plannning and Development, Kabir of Labour, and Mushtaq of education.

Earlier on June 11, the former privatisation commission consultant, Waqas Riaz; the former chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Zafar Mahmood; the former Inspector-General of Punjab, Shaukat Javed; and former provincial minister of excise and taxation, Zia Haider Rizvi; and two former presidents of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Anjum Nisar and Jawwad Sajid took oath for the provincial cabinet.
