While speaking to Daily Times on Wednesday, former MNA from the constituency Shazia Marri said that there are spiritual followers of Pir Pagara in her constituency but during her tenure as MNA, she have worked across board for the betterment of the area.

“Functional League ruled Sanghar for over 60 years, but they delivered nothing and due to this, Functional League’s voters are willing to join PPP,” she claimed.

The PPP leader also stated that she worked hard so as to bring gas to Khipro and a large number of PPP vote-bank is in her constituency since those who did not vote for PPP in last elections are ready to cast vote for the party.

Shazia further said that previous federal government denied our request for provision of gas to Khipro city and despite the fact Sanghar is a gas producing district, the city was deprived of gas which is in violation of Article 158 of our Constitution, therefore, she said she will fight to bring gas to Khipro in future since the gas is a basic need for of people.

“My future plan for Achhro Thar is to facilitate building more schools and health units and most importantly, the construction of a main road in Achhro Thar is consideration,” she added

General Secretary PPP Khipro, Umar Gul Hingorjo said that people have seen change and service delivery during tenure of Shazia Marri that is why even some the mureeds of Pir Pagara have turned to PPP.

Kak is a village out of 101 villages benefiting from PPP pure water project, which provides water from the tank where 30,000 gallons water can be stored.

A villager, Rajarr, expressed his views that the water villagers get from the tank is a new sigh of relief in the area where there was no sweet water before and that the villagers do not have to travel distances to find water.

The villagers are supporters of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F)’s Peer Pagara, but despite lack of support in the area, PPP has ensured water supply, introduced solar system and has opened new schools.
