SHIKARPUR: Two minor sisters were killed after a wall of a house collapsed near a playing area in Wazirabad town of Lakhi Ghulam Shah tehsil in Shikarpur district on Friday.
According to police, two sisters and their two minor cousins were playing outside their house alongside the wall when it collapsed, killing the two sisters, while severely wounding their cousins.
5-year-old Aasiba died on spot, while 3-year-old Sidra succumbed to her wounds on the way to Lakhi Ghulam Shah Hospital.
Moreover, the injured were identified as 6-year-old Mehwish and 4-year-old Deeba, who are under treatment at Sukkur Hospital and Lakhi Ghulam Shah hospital respectively. Mehwish was shifted to Sukkur Hospital due to her precarious condition.
Police handed over the dead bodies of the both sisters to the family after completing necessary medical-legal formalities. The condition of the injured girls was said to be out of danger.
The wall that collapsed down over them was said to be weak owing to which incident took place. People of the area expressed their deep grief and sympathies with bereaved family over the said incident.
