Reportedly, the former speaker of the Sindh Assembly and Paghidar-e-Alla of ASPY Agha Siraj Khan Durrani was the chief guest on the occasion.
Durrani expressed satisfaction and happiness that ASPY has completed a year successfully by expanding its network across Sindh within a short span of time.
“ASPY aims to resolve the crucial issues of ‘Pathans’ and other communities of Sindh,” he said.
He termed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) “the only national political party in the country that has served the general public and confronted their critical problems.”
He vowed that PPP would sweep the elections by securing majority of the votes in the upcoming general elections.
“Shikarpur is a strong fort of PPP while designated candidates are the political veterans,” he asserted.
He urged rival political parties to play a progressive and constructive role to promote democracy.
Meanwhile, Agha Muneer Pathan, a notable of the city, was elected Tehsil Paghidar of Shikarpur on the occasion.
Pathan pledged to render selfless services for the welfare of ASPY.
Besides, Agha Asad Patha, ASPY provincial president Agha Sanaullah Khan Durrani and Pathan community also participated in the programme.
ASPY is being led by Agha Siraj Khan Durrani.
PTI kicks off election campaign in Jacobabad
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raaz Khan Pathan on Thursday began campaign for the upcoming general election 2018 and urged the people of Jacobabad to cast votes to PTI candidates.
Reportedly, Pathan visited many places in Jacobabad on a horse-cart, and said that during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the people of Jacobabad were deprived of fundamental rights and necessities of life including drinking water, quality education, electricity, healthcare, and drainage system.
“PTI has the capability to resolve the public issues effectively,” he claimed adding that PTI had spread awareness amongst the general public of Pakistan and Sindh regarding their rights secured by the constitution.
He vowed that PTI would eradicate corruption, and serve the people of Pakistan, Sindh and Jacobabad.
A large number of party activists were present on the occasion.
