MOSCOW: Russian police said on Thursday they would charge British gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, detained near Red Square earlier on Thursday, with breaking the law on public meetings, Interfax news agency reported. Tatchell attempted to hold a one-man protest to draw attention to what he said were appalling human rights abuses committed against gay men in Chechnya.
