The android-based application was launched last year for welfare of the families of martyred police officers.
During the ceremony, Eid gifts were distributed among children of martyred officers and officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Amin Wains said that the welfare of families of deceased officials was one his prime responsibly.
He also congratulated SSP (Admin) Rana Ayaz Saleem on the successful working of the application.
“The success of this software is marked by the fact that the police forces of other provinces have replicated the idea and included it in their system.”
Through the Welfare-Eye software, he said that problems of families of deceased officials were being addressed via a single SMS without any delay and that this practice would continue in future as well.
He added that martyrs of Lahore police have saved the citizens at the cost of their blood and their sacrifices would be remembered for ages.
It was shared that during the one year, families of deceased officials have been given facilities worth over Rs 780 million, while jobs were also provided to the children of deceased officials.
SSP admin Rana Ayaz Saleem said that Lahore police won’t forget the family of any of its martyr on the auspicious event of Eid. He said that gifts would also be sent to family member of martyred officials.
