Elahi appeals to people to vote on performance basis

Nomination papers of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Ch Parvez Elahi for NA-69 (Gujrat) and PA-30 have been accepted.

Talking to media after acceptance of nomination papers, Elahi appealed to the people that they should vote on the basis of performance in the forthcoming elections.

He lashed at out the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), saying that the former PML-N-led government had destroyed the entire country, including Punjab. He said that the PML-N had done nothing for the progress of the Pakistan, particularly Punjab.

He claimed that several uplift works were undertaken during their tenure.

Replying to a question, he said that the PML-Q had formed an alliance with the Grand Democratic Alliance in Sindh. He added that the PML-Q would field candidates from all provinces.

He alleged that former Punjab chief minister stopped funds for uplift projects like Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital Shehbazpur Bridge on River Chenab launched by the PML-Q. “We will make both the projects operations if given a chance in Punjab,” he said.

He said that hollow claims of the PML-N were being exposed one by one.
