Extremism in India

Sir: Extremism is growing stronger in India because of the seeds of hate planted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena. Now a group of Hindu extremists have tried to vandalise the western gate of the historic Taj Mahal with hammers and iron rods.

It is very unfortunate that radicalism is on the rise on both sides of the Line of Control. This will only make reconciliation between India and Pakistan harder.

I urge all readers, whether Indian or Pakistani, Hindu or Muslim, to reject ideologies of hate. We all human beings, we all share the same planetand we all breathe the same air.
