LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday remarked that it was about time the vote is respected in Pakistan.

Maryam in a conversation with a local news channel, said that “I pray to God that we are successful in our ‘respect for vote’ movement.”

The PML-N Quaid’s daughter asserted that she had come out i the open for the country and the nation’s sake, just to keep it clear of the various diseases developing within it.

She added that for those who were plotting delays in elections, the time had passed as the nation is fully awake and conscious now.

Maryam claimed that PML-N will regain power in Punjab and as the centre after the general elections 2018.

She remarked “I urge all the voters to come out and vote. It’s now or never.”

Maryam while referring to a dictator, said that the nation could weigh the difference between how traitors and how her father Nawaz Sharif were being treated. She added that the dictator had been granted freedom while her father, a civilian leader, elected three times was being humiliated time and again.

Maryam’s nomination papers for the upcoming elections are expected to be scrutinized today.
