The 46-year-old Bollywood actor, Armaan Kohli, was arrested on Tuesday by Mumbai police after his partner, Neeru Randhawa, lodged a complaint against him. The couple was in a live-in relationship together and an argument had erupted between them over a monetary issue, when Neeru alleged that the situation ended up in a case of assault, as reported by the Hindustan Times.
The police, initially, registered the case on June 4, after which law enforcers have been on the lookout for Kohli, who had been absconding ever since.
The arrest by Santacruz police came on Tuesday, reported a senior police official to the media outlet.
While narrating the altercation, the complainant alleged that the couple were having a quarrel over some at their residence on the evening of Sunday, June 3, which outraged Kholi. The accused pushed her from the stairs, then pulled her hair, and banged her head on the floor.
The model further added that she was subjected to head, neck and knee injuries due to the event, and was immediately taken to the hospital by her driver.
The case remains ongoing, and the verdict is yet to come, added a police official.
According to the complainant, the duo was in a relationship for the past three years, he added.
Kohli is a fine Bollywood actor, who has gained popularity by appearing in a number of films, like ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’; he made his last big screen appearance in ‘LOC: Kargil’, in 2003.
The actor was also seen in reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 7, a few years back.
