ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid rich tributes to two Pakistan Army personnel killed during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad in Frontier Region Bannu.
The funeral prayers of the soldiers were offered in Peshawar on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. “Nothing is nobler than laying one’s life in defence of the motherland,” ISPR DG Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor tweeted, quoting the army chief as saying. “Salute to our martyrs. Our life and blood is for Pakistan.”
According to details, the funeral prayers of Lt Khawar and Naik Shehzad were offered at Corps Headquarters Peshawar. Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Nazeer Butt and Lt Gen Zahid Latif were also present on the occasion.
