Sindh police arrest 13 suspects in Larkana

LARKANA: The Larkana Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Abdullah Shaikh, has said that 11 persons have been arrested during the last few days from Larkana Division out of which five are terrorists and six are suspects and all of them are being interrogated.

He was talking to media on Saturday. He said that teams of Sindh Police have reached Balochistan and soon a major breakthrough will be made and terrorists will be arrested. He said that terrorists enter into Sindh from Balochistan’s Mastung and Khuzdar areas. He said attack on Sindh or Balochistan is equal to an attack on Pakistan. He added that after these incidents, police of both the provinces have enhanced coordination and now action will be taken in Balochistan in light of the available information.

He said borders of both provinces are connected and terrorists take benefit by committing crime in one province and then they cross the border and take refuge in another province, adding that stern action will be taken against such gangs. Shaikh further said that mechanism has also been evolved for sharing information between both the provinces and Balochistan police will extend full cooperation in this regard.

He said operation was conducted at the native village of Hafeez Brohi, mastermind of Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Sehwan blasts, but he could not be arrested. Naseerabad DIG Sharjeel Kharal said operations will be carried out against terrorists jointly by Sindh and Balochistan police force and cooperation will be extended in this connection with Sindh Police to eliminate terrorists.
