JACOBABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raaz Khan Pathan on Wednesday organised a massive protest rally against prolonged power outages in the region.
The rally originated from his residence and accumulated at press club in Jacobabad.
While addressing the rally, Pathan strongly criticised the government over load shedding and power tripping tactics to save the electricity units in the district of Jacobabad.
He termed the load shedding as sheer injustice with the people of Jacobabad in the scorching heat of summer. “Since the Islamic month of Ramazan has begun, the load shedding has increased in Sindh province,” he remarked.
Furthermore, he claimed that many transformers are dysfunctional for three months, but SEPCO did not fix the problem. “Jacobabad is the hottest district of Sindh,” he asserted.
Pathan also accused the former PMLN government to not resolve the power crisis in its tenure and vowed to rectify the problem with determination after winning the upcoming general election.
