Khasadar man injured in gun attack in Jamrud

KHYBER AGENCY: A Khasadar man sustained critical wounds on late Tuesday when armed assailants opened fire on patrolling personnel of Assistant Political Agent (APA) in the Sardar Kalley area of Ghundi in Jamrud Tehsil.

An administrative official confirmed the incident and informed that Jamrud APA Zahid Usman was patrolling the area along with Khasadar forces. Meanwhile, Zahid Usman has been declared safe in the attack, but a troop Sadiq got injured and shifted to Jamrud Health Centre for medical treatment. Cosequently, security agencies arrived on the spot, cordoned off the region and collected evidence for investigation into the incident. They had also launched a search operation in the area, but no arrest has been made so far.
