LAHORE: As the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) – kicked off in February 2017 – took the world by storm, cricket fans from all over the globe, especially India, enjoyed the PSL final debacle at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
According to Cricketgateway.com, Indians topped the list with 28.22% when it came to number of people watching the PSL mega event followed by Pakistanis 21.47%.
The PSL is Pakistan’s answer to much-hyped Indian Premier League (IPL) and those who were attempting to isolate Pakistan internationally after a deadly attack on Sri Lanka’s team in 2009, which halted international cricket tours in the country.
There was an outpouring of love from cricket fans on Twitter, who used the #CricketComesHome to express their feelings about the tournament.
A user said he was proud of the winning team and appreciated the Quetta Gladiators for their spirit, and tweeted, “Pakistan won against terrorism.”
Another cricket lover said that no matter which team people supported, they must feel happy at the success of PSL’s second edition.
