3-day Annual Flower Exhibition ends in Mirpur Khas

MIRPUR KHAS: The 59th annual flower exhibition ended on Monday at Gulistan-e- Baldiya, Mirpukhas. The three-day exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairman of the District Council, Mir Anwar Talpur, while Divisional Commissioner Shafiq Ahmed Mahesar, DIGP Javed Alam Odho, DC Zahid Memon and Secretary of the Flower Exhibition Mansoor Cheema, participated. Cheema House, Eid Gah, DC house, Sindh Horticulture Research Institute, Bhittai Dental College, Muhammad Medical College, Mirpurkhas Sugar Mill, and private gardeners set up stalls with over 300 varieties of flowers in the exhibition. A large number of people belonging to different walks of life visited the exhibition. The exhibition aimed at bringing to the people the beautiful world of flowers and the creativity of gardens, Mansoor Cheema stated. “These days, people are engrossed in a busy lifestyle and children, who are very much hooked to the digital world, are usually unaware of the beauty of nature and flowers. Therefore, this was our effort to pull them out of their homes and let them have a glimpse of this world,” he added.
