KARACHI: A seminar entitled “Home based women workers: A legal perspective” on the eve of International Women’s Day will be held at the center of excellence for women studies Karachi University on March 8.
KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan will preside, while Dean of social sciences Professor Dr Muhammad Ahmed Qadri will deliver the keynote address.
Sindh Social Welfare Minister Shamim Mumtaz will be the chief guest. Women workers from different areas of Karachi will exhibit and sell their products.
A book entitled “Soofi Khawateen”, the 5th Volume of the Journal of Applied Social Sciences and 14th volume of Pakistan journal of gender studies will also be launched during the program.
