A harrowing tragedy

Author: Daily Times

Sir: It is very harrowing to hear about the constant vicious incidents against women which seem to be taking place across the country perpetually. Recently, an 80-year elderly woman was found in a trash heap near Sukkur’s Bus Terminal in a semiconscious state after allegedly being subjecting to torture by her stone-hearted sons on May 27.

According to the woman, her sons beat her up over a domestic dispute, which is truly devastating. The relevant authorities need to take strict steps against the culprits behind this monstrous tragedy and award them severe punishment in order to curb such heinous acts.
