Sir: Birds are nature’s beauty. But along with being beautiful, they are also fragile. Their colours and sweet language have always been attractive to humans. There are many governmental and non-governmental organizations working to protect bird species and their habitats.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no such organization in Pakistan. The birds here face many dangers, including lack of water and destruction of habitats. The situation is so bleak it would not be wrong to term it genocide.
Climate change is the biggest danger. It threatens many species of birds with extinction. Taking this into account, hunting of birds should be banned. Water and grains should be placed in places where birds can reach. Their habitats must also be protected. Governmental and non-governmental organizations must come forward to protect birds and conduct research on them.
