KARACHI: The arrest of MQM’s ex in charge of Karachi tanzeeme committee Hammad Siddiqi is depending on the political situation specially in Karachi, a official of the team being given the task to get Hammad back in Pakistan through ‘interpol’ raveled.

FIA’s Counter Terrorism Wing (CTW) which is working on issues relating to terrorism. It arrested and brought back Abul Rehman Bhola the ex sector incharge Baldia Town of MQM to Karachi through interpol from Thailand several months ago, Rehman bhola was wanted in prominent Baldia Town factory fire case. Following his arrest another task to immediately bring back Hammad was given to FIA CTW.

It is pertinent to mention that one of the FIA, CTW member participates in every JIT of high profile suspects with other law enforcement agencies and police but strangely the CTW has been Kept away from the JIT of A Rehman Bhola whom the agency had brought back.

A team member told Daytimes that keeping the FIA away from the JIT of A Rehman Bhola rises serious question since before and after this particular JIT, an FIA member is always attached with the joint interrogations. Since the court has declared Hammad Siddiqi as the main suspect in Baldia Town factory fire case with A Rehman Bhola and has also issued red warrants for his arrest the high officials of provincial and federal government have given clear directions to FIA CTW team to bring back Hammad as early as possible.

“There are certain issues that will make the whole scenario very clear, the government directions could be considered as apparent policy of a state but actual arrest of Hammad will be depending on the political scenario of city, if the political scenario changes things can be deferent relating to his arrest, the officer further reveled.

Hammad Siddiqi ex chief of Karachi Tanzeemi committee of MQM has been alleged for its involvement in china cutting, extortion and target killing as well. After his departure from country roamers about his presence in Malaysia and Dubai kept coming and now when MQM has been divided in to three parts including Pakistan Sarzameen party beside MQM London and MQM Pakistan, Hammad is said to be joining PSP, but it has to be waited and seen that what can PSP achieve from this in the city politically.
