Quetta bleeds again

Author: Daily Times

Sir: It hurts me write that the District Police Officer (DPO) of Qila Abdullah was killed and 10 others were injured in a suicide attack in Chaman on Monday. Chaman DPO SSP Sajid Khan Mohmand was attacked when his convey was passing through Boghara Road area of Chaman on the border with Afghanistan.

The attack was claimed by the banned Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP). However, two policemen also received serious injuries and security forces rushed to the site soon after the blast and shifted the victims to the hospital.

It is not the first time that terrorists have caused the loss of human lives, and the authorities have failed to eradicate this menace from the province. I entreat and urge the authorities to eradicate terrorism from the country which continues to hamper the country’s path to progress.
