One hundred and fifty years old Chinese Luban Workshop which is operating in five countries is almost ready and will be inaugurated on June 18.
While addressing a meeting to review the preparation of Luban Workshop at TEVTA Secretariat on Tuesday, the TEVTA chairman went on saying that inauguration will be held at Government Technical Training Institute Gulberg Lahore which will be participated in by Chinese officials and high level delegations.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh further explained that initially five courses under Electrical Automation Technology will be started. These courses include Online Advance Chinese Language Course, Micromouse, Automation Production Line and Mechatronics Training System. In all of these courses, Chinese master trainers will provide training for permanent basis.
Talking about the importance of workshop, Irfan said that there are a number of institutes teaching conventional technical education but Luban Workshop will be a unique training institute. The students who will get training in this Luban workshop will be able to avail job opportunities worldwide.
He also termed this workshop as another great example of Pakistan and China’s friendship. He said that this workshop is already operational in Asian countries but TEVTA Punjab has this honour that it is establishing it with the generous collaboration with China.
“This would help us enhance our technical education level as per global standards,” he said.
