Shehbaz slams Imran Khan’s ‘100-day dream’

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday slammed the 100-day plan announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan a day earlier which he wanted to implement if elected to power following the upcoming general elections.

“Just compare Imran’s performance [in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa] in the past five years with his 100-day plan,” he said, adding that those who had given a 6MW shortfall to the people only were painting pictures of a 100-day dream.

Shehbaz advised the PTI to follow PML-N-led government in Punjab in matters pertaining to good governance. “Come to us and we will show you how to construct hospitals and universities,” he said. “These are the lessons you need to be taught by us.”

The Punjab chief minister said his political rivals continued to neglect their own provinces and they will have to bear the consequences of this negligence in the upcoming elections. “[Imran Khan] Niazi and [Asif Ali] Zardari did not resolve issues in their own provinces,” he said, alleging that the two leaders have become ‘brothers’. “The nation will not elect corrupt leaders who only know how to protest,” he said.
