Four bodies recovered from Sukkur Barrage

KHAIRPUR: Four dead bodies were recovered on Sunday from the Sukkur Barrage.

Reportedly, villagers informed police after finding dead bodies of three men and a woman. The barrage authorities claimed that the bodies were stowed into bags and entangled in the dam’s gates.

Consequently, the bodies were shifted to Rohri taluka hospital for autopsy and identification, however nobody claimed their identification.

Later, the bodies were laid to rest by Edhi foundation in the Qureshi Goth cemetery.

The police await post-mortem report to initiate investigation into the matter.
