KHAIRPUR: A youth was kidnapped on Saturday near Piryaloi, a small town of Khairpur District in Sindh province.
Reportedly, ‘unknown’ assailants kidnapped Bashir Ahmed and fled towards the Katcha area of Indus River.
Consequently, the police followed the kidnappers but could not trace them. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
Four children die of measles
Four more children died due to outbreak of measles virus near Pano Akil, a tehsil of Sukkur District in the Sindh province.
Reportedly, the virus has spread across many villages of Pano Akil taluka. The children including Miandad Almani, Abdul Razak Almani, Muhammad Ibrahim Almani and Nadeem Ahmed Almani died in the Peeral Almani village while many others are suffering from the deadly disease.
Meanwhile, the affected children were shifted to hospital.
The villagers appealed government authorities to send teams of doctors in the affected villages to treat the children.
