DADU: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Sindh chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi on Saturday criticised the ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif for his controversial remarks regarding 2008 Mumbai terror attack.

While addressing a press conference in his native village Betto Jatoi of taluka Mehar, he said that his remarks fall under treason against the country and shows his empathetic attitude towards India.

He alleged that Nawaz Sharif despite being three times the prime minister of Pakistan, supported national interest of India that is highly condemnable. He also suggested him to quit politics.

While accusing Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, Dr Asim Hussain, Sharjeel Memon, he said that they committed massive financial corruption and their ministers are now leaving the country to escape accountability.

Furthermore, Liaquat Ali Jatoi also accused PPP MPA of Public Health Engineering Department and Rural Development (PHED) Fyaz Ahmed Butt for his alleged involvement in corruption of Rs9 billion in the supply of solar systems.

“Prolonged load-shedding continues in entire Sindh, but, the federal government did not resolve the crisis effectively that claimed economic implications, besides paralysing people’s lives,” he remarked adding that acute shortage of water in many parts of the province had affected agriculture adversely.

Moreover, he demanded to carry out ‘merciless’ accountability starting from Asif Ali Zardari.

He stated that the general public has refused to attend gatherings of PPP while pointing out ’empty chairs’ in the recent public gathering held by PPP.

Regarding PPP Sindh president Nissar Ahmed Khuhro, he called it an unfortunate situation for PPP that a person who distributed sweets on the hanging of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto became a president of the party in Sindh.

Later, he claimed that people of Dadu had always supported him.

“Benazir Bhutto assassination case would be started as soon as PTI comes in power after the general elections and culprits would be punished,” he stated while advising people to get prepare themselves for the elections in which PPP would suffer a defeat.
