DADU: The Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday praised what he called a massive public gathering organised by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) at Bux Lakhiar, a village of taluka Mehar of Dadu district.

In his address to the gathering, he said that such a crowd of people could not be gathered by any political party in Karachi.

Despite unity shown by factions of MQM, the leaders failed to hold a large public gathering as compared to crowd gathered at Bux Lakhiar.

Brigadier (Rtd) Tariq Lakhiar joined PPP in the gathering, along with his supporters, and vowed that PPP would defeat its rival parties in Sindh in the upcoming general elections.

He considered PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the next prime minister of Pakistan and expressed hope that PPP would secure majority of the seats of National Assembly (NA) in the upcoming general elections.

“People of Dadu always casted their votes to the candidates of PPP, and the situation would not be different this time,” he remarked.

He pledged to introduce job opportunities to the unemployed youth of Sindh after the elections and would be based solely on merit.

Sindh PPP president Nisar Ahmed Khuhro claimed that political leaders, who were affiliated with late General Zia-ul-Haq, would not be embraced by people of Sindh.

“Members who alter their allegiances would fail miserably in the elections,” he remarked while criticising General Zia-ul-Haq and General Pervaiz Musharraf and said they are lost but PPP still enjoys strong roots in politics.
