Pollution in Karachi

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth. Environmental pollution is the biggest menace to the human race on this planet, today. Pollution, in all its forms, has increased in Karachi, and has caused widespread environment and health problems.

Air pollution, lack of proper waste management infrastructure and degradation of water bodies are the major environment issues in the metropolis. Unfortunately, the city is in held hostage by pollution-friendly policies. The government needs to revamp its environmental policies, and enforce them strictly, otherwise the damage caused to Karachi will become irreversible.
