Relatives of man died in road ‘mishap’ seek justice

Author: Ahmad Nabi

KHYBER AGENCY: The orphans and relatives of a deceased tribesman, who was killed in a road mishap by a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project vehicle, demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) and Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to deliver justice to them by ruling an exemplary punishment to the absconder driver.

According to a report, Ameen Said, the brother of the deceased, who was flanked by his nieces and nephews said that his brother Ajar Hussain was standing alongside his vehicle at Aman Chowk near Gora Qabiristan in Peshawar when a loader ran over him, which was working at BRT project.

Consequently, Ajar Hussain died on the spot while the driver managed to escape from the scene.

“He was the sole breadwinner in his household, who died due to negligence of the ‘killer’ driver,” Ameen Said remarked. Rohail, the elder son of Ajar Hussain who studies in Grade-3, said that the incident not only took away his father but snatched away all facilities from them that they enjoyed during their father’s life. They pleaded CJP and CM to financially support them and ensure justice is served.
