Other PTI leaders including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Naeemul Haq, Jahangir Tareen and PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry were also present to welcome the two former PPP leaders.

The PTI witnessed its own desertion, meanwhile, when the party’s MPA from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ms. Nargis Ali joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Friday.

Ms. Nargis met PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain at his residence on Friday and announced her new allegiance there.

PML-Q Secretary General Tariq Bashir Cheema, the party’s KP President Mehboobullah Jan and the president of the women wing Mohtarma Farrukh Khan were also present at the occasion.

Ch. Shujaat hailed Ms. Nargis’s decision to join the party, and claimed that this step highlighted the PML-Q’s growing popularity in KP.

He also vowed to continue serving the people of Pakistan to the best of the party’s abilities.
