Christians seek suo motu notice in killing of Christian girl

KHYBER AGENCY: Members of Christians community of Landi Kotal demanded of the Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan to take sumo to action in killing of Christian girl, murdered last month in Sialkot and bring the culprits to law.

Addressing a press conference in Landi Kotal press club last day, member executive committee Minority Alliance, Pakistan Arshad Maseeh said that on 23rd of January,2017,12 years old Christian girl, Tania Maryyum d/o Nadeem Anwar Gul as usually at 08:30 am left for school but at 11:30 am on the same day her dead was retrieved of canal. He maintained that first the respective police station officials reluctant to lodge First Information Report (FIR) however on the protest of the relatives of the deceased it was filed on 03rd February, 2017.

Flanked by his other community members, Arshad Maseeh further said that the presently postmortem report showed the death by eating poisonous food that was totally against the fact and equivalent to hide truth.

He asked the chief justice of the applet court to probe into the cold blood murder of the minority girl and provide justice to the grieved family.
