BAHAWALPUR: Dozens of visually-impaired persons staged a sit-in in front of Bahawalupr Press Club on Tuesday in protest against the provincial government. The demonstrators demanded that a three-percent quota in government jobs announced for visually-impaired people should be implemented without any further delay. They also sought issuance of Khidmat Cards. “If the government fails to meet these demands we will go on a hunger strike,” said the leader of the group. He said the protesters were demanding their rights guaranteed to them by the government and would not stop their protest till the government listened to them.
