Blast occurs near railway track in Dasht town of Balochistan

QUETTA: The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) found on Thursday an explosive device kept in a pressure cooker near a railway track in the Dasht town of Kharan district.

BDS officials reached the site soon after a blast occurred in the same site earlier in the day.

However, they managed to defuse the second bomb in time.

No casualties were reported but the railway scheduled was affected.

The number of targeted killings and blasts in different areas of Balochistan has recently increased which raises many questions over the security of the province.

Recently in April, three suicide bombers blew themselves up in Quetta outside a security check post and at least seven security personnel were martyred while 15 people were wounded.
