LAHORE: Lahore High Court Judge Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi on Wednesday indicted six, including two Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers for holding an anti-judiciary rally in Kasur on the 13th of April.
The accused were present at the hearing and expressed remorse at organising the rally. They said that they were ashamed of holding the rally and claimed that they had started a move in favour of the judiciary, and completely respected the institution.
Justice Naqvi ordered the accused to submit an unconditional apology and appointed Punjab Additional Advocate General as the prosecutor.
The court is set to announce the indictment on the 11th of May.
The indicted include Kasur Baitul Maal Chairperson Nasir Mehmood and Market Committee Chairperson Jameel Ahmed.
