SWAT: Senior Politician Khursheed Shah said on Tuesday that they do not want any delay in general elections as the current government’s five year term is expected to be completed on May 31st, after which the caretaker government will take over and hold elections.

While addressing workers at the Pakistan Peoples party’s (PPP) convention in Saidu Sharif, he stated that the main objective of politics is not just to become the prime minister but also to serve the people of the country.

The PPP Leader also talked about the importance of merging the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

Furthermore, Shah said that their provincial government has built 20 universities in Sindh.

Shah also invited the workers to Sindh so that they can see the progress that has taken place in different sectors like education and health.

According to the constitution of Pakistan, the caretaker prime minister is appointed by the prime minister after discussions with the leader of the opposition.

The general elections are expected to be held in July or the first week of august as the current government will complete its term by May 31st.
