Writer Asghar Nadeem Syed to coin new name for Alhamra

LAHORE: The Alhamra Cultural Complex will get a new name after being given approval from the member of Board of Governors (BOGs).

In this regard, a research work has been put on the shoulders of veteran columnist, researcher and drama serial writer Asghar Nadeem Syed who will suggest a new name after completing a research work on it.

To change the name of Alhamra Cultural Complex was suggested by Culture & Information Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar in the 59th BoGs meeting which was chaired by Alhamra Arts Council Chairman Tauqeer Nasir, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the four-year different projects review briefing was given to the members.

Tauqeer Nasir said that Alhamra because of its flawless performance is now considered as one of the finest institutions of culture in the world and “we will keep on prospering”, he added.
