LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi will forward an invitation to the Irish Cricket bigwigs for touring Pakistan in future, it was said on Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday, Sethi flew to Ireland on invitation of the cricket board to watch Ireland’s debut Test match against the green team. It was also said that Sethi would discuss the possibility of a Pak-Ireland series in Pakistan during his visit.
The PCB chief will also conduct meetings with ICC task force chairman Giles Clark, while he will also call upon skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and head coach Micky Arthur.
In 2014, the Irish team had accepted Pakistan’s offer to visit the country for a series of matches, but refused after attack on Karachi airport the same year.
Pakistan will play first Test of the UK tour against Ireland on May 11 at Dublin.
