NAROWAL: The attacker who shot Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal earlier today has confessed to having opened fire at him over the Khatm-e-Nabuwat issue.
According to reports, the attacker, identified as Abid Hussain, confessed to his crime saying that he attacked the lawmaker over the Khatm-e-Nabuwat issue and that it was his individual act.
The 21-year-old is the resident of Kanjoor village, where Ahsan had earlier addressed a gathering before being shot.
Ahsan Iqbal was shot in his arm while addressing a corner meeting in his constituency and was rushed to the hospital immediately. He was later shifted to Lahore for further treatment.
