Real estate agents at a company in China suggested their manager slap them as punishment for poor performance.

Both the workers and the manager can be seen crying during the punishment

It is reported by the Chinese local media that six employees of a real estate agency were criticised for ‘slack attitude’ towards their job and were asked to come up with appropriate punishment.

Mr. Hu, an employee of the real estate company told local media that the video was filmed during a monthly appraisal meeting in April.

He further added, the female manager inquired the agents ‘what should the punishment be for not working hard’; the agents then asked the manager to slap them in the face. The manager did not agree with the punishment until the agents persisted on the said punishment.

The video of the incident was shared on local messaging groups on WeChat on 3 May.

The video clip was shared and posted on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, and the manager was badly criticised by web users.

The manager resigned following the harsh criticism.
