LAHORE:  Former president and Co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said he would form an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if required.

The PPP co-chairman was visiting the residence of Samina Ghurki to express his condolences over the death of her mother.

He later talked to the media and said that former Prime Minister Nawaz had damaged democracy and acted like he was a Mughal prince.

On the other hand, he said the PPP had made immense sacrifices, and said that he had spent 11 years in prison for democracy.

“Mian sahib should describe what he means by aliens as he has been using this term since 1988. All aliens have moved along with him [Nawaz],” Zardari stressed.

The former president said that his party was ready to sit in the opposition and was also prepared to form its own government.
