LAHORE: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Complaint Cell organised a seminar on anti quackery campaign and harassment of qualified doctors by different departments of Punjab government on Thursday.
The seminar was headed by Professor Ashraf Nizami while a large number of doctors including Dr Izhar Chaudhry, Professor Ajmal Naqvi, Dr Wajid Ali, Dr Iram Shahzadi, Dr Asma Yasin, Dr Mian Tariq, Dr Shahid Shahab, Dr Shaid Malik, Dr Arshad Humayun, Dr Talha Sherwani, Dr Aleem Nawaz, Dr Kamran Ahmad, Dr Nazar Murshid, Dr Tanvir Zuberi and Dr Ghulam Shabir Malik also participated.
The participants concluded that some decisions will be made by the core committee including implementation of healthcare act in true letter and spirit, finalisation MSDS of HCC with PMA to make it implementable according to ground realities. Pakistan Medical & Dental Council certified clinics should not be examined. If a need arises, then the PMA representative must be a member of the inspection team.
