LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed PTI Chief Imran Khan and PAT Chief Tahirul Qadri to submit response in contempt petition filed against the two over the 2014 Dharna.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Anwarul Haq heard the petition filed against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) spearheads.
The petitioner, AK Dogar, said that both Imran and Qadri continued their Islamabad sit-in despite courts orders to end the protest. He added that prolongation of the sit-in despite orders accounts for contempt of court.
He requested to LHC to take actions against the two leaders for failing to abide by the court orders.
To this end, the judge-bench directed the PTI and PAT chiefs to submit a response over the matter on May 25.
