LAHORE: Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Sunday said that the politics of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has come to an end, while CM Shehbaz Sharif has also failed to produce results.

Speaking to PTI’s Minar-e-Pakistan powershow in Lahore, Sheikh Rasheed said that the judiciary and the army are fighting for the country’s prosperity on every end.

He added that the main motive of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Nawaz Sharif is to “destroy” the dignity of the two institutions. The AML chief commended the efforts of Justice Nisar saying that the only person working with utmost honesty in the country is the CJP.

Sheikh Rasheed continued his jabs at the Nawaz-league saying that “there is no electricity, no gas in the country and the youth of the country are unemployed.” Moreover, he added, the country’s resources are being ‘wasted’ on roads and metros.

Turning his attention towards newly appointed Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, Rasheed said that “I don’t know how Miftah received this Muftah (free treat).”

He also congratulated the PTI leaders on organising a grand rally, while he also applauded those in attendance for supporting the party’s cause.
