RAWALPINDI: A contingent of 40 college students from remote areas of the country called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of the Army, the visit was part of the COAS Youth Encouragement Programme.
During the meeting, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa termed the youth as Pakistan’s most precious asset and urged them to contribute towards national integration and development by setting the highest goals for themselves and attaining quality education.
According to the ISPR statement, the COAS General Bajwa reaffirmed to the students that education was a national priority. He said, “We will do our best to provide whole hearted support towards attainment of the national objective.”
