The meeting condemned the threats been given to the young faculty by the campus directors during SALUTA Elections 2018 and called it ‘a worst example’ in the history of the university.
Furthermore, they disapproved and criticised the involvement of university administration in the elections.
The EC expressed concerns on the incorrect modification in the minutes of Syndicate meeting that reflected the malicious intentions of administration towards teachers. Furthermore, it was demanded advertisement of teaching posts in the various departments without any discrimination.
The EC further demanded the administration to take serious note on the provision of basic facilities including clean water and power supply in the entire campus building.
The advertisement of vacant houses should be published accordingly with the rules without further delay and construction of the housing society must be done in consultation with the stakeholders.
The consensus was achieved in the meeting that the syndicate would be requested to grant permission for the initiation of second phase of the housing society. The EC expressed concerns on the delay in the processing of remuneration and medical bills and demanded to devise a system to expedite the process. Maintenance allowance should be granted to faculty members who are completing MS/Phd degrees.
