Shikarpur mosques and seminaries to get CCTV camera as part of NAP

SHIKARPUR:A high level meeting was organized by National Action Plan (NAP) committee at Deputy Commissioner Office Shikarpur to review security situation under National Action Plan, here on Tuesday.

Syed Hassan Raza, the Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur presided the meeting while SSP Shikarpur Zeeshan Siddiqui, Military Intelligence In-charge Major Khalid, Intelligence Bureau In-charge Shoukat Jokhio and religious leader of difference organizations participated in the meeting.

Agha Zakaullah Durrani, the Assistant Director Industries and Registration, informed the meeting participants that total 161 Madarsa are in Shikarpur district from them 122 are registered and 39 are still unregistered.

In addition, 98 Madarsa are registered and 29 Madarsa are unregistered of Barelvi Tanzeem, a religious organization, 07 Madarsa of Sunni, a religious organization, are registered, while 02 Madarsa of Shia, a religious organization, are registered and 02 Madarsa of Tableeghi Jamaat are registered and 01 Madarsa is unregistered of Tabeeghi Jammat in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Shikarpur Zeeshan Siddiqui said that Shikarpur police is discharging their duties under National Action Plan to maintain peace and tranquility in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur, Syed Hassan Raza, issued directives to avoid heat speeches and directed to the leaders of the Madarsas to register the students of the Madarsa for larger interests of the people.

Besides, he also issued directions to install CCTV cameras in Masijds and Madarsas to keep an eye on every movement.

The religious leaders including Qari Majeebul Rahman Madani, Hafiz Ubedullah Panhwar, Molana Nisar Ahmed assured to administration that he would cooperate. On the other hand, human rights activist Naveed Alam Abro hailed the efforts of Pakistan Army, DG Rangers Sindh, and district administration for taking such bold steps to avert any untoward incidents.
