Muhammad Waris, resident of Jhang, filed an application in NAB regarding alleged corrupt practices of Rescue 1122 employees in the city.

The petitioner claimed that Rescue 1122 officials had asked him to ‘bribe’ them with Rs 200,000 in order to find employment in the rescue organisation.

Moreover, it was said that Rescue 1122 officials were making unmerited recruitment and that the process of recruiting 987 individuals to the rescue body was ‘suspicious’.

The applicant also added that those who passed mandatory tests, including the NTS examination, were being ‘deliberately ignored’ and that places were being offered for huge sums of money.

The petitioner has also alleged DG Rescue Dr Rizwan Naseer and Deputy Director Fawad Shehzad of being involved in malpractices.
