ISLAMABAD: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Monday said that he was referring to party chairman Imran Khan when he told Sirajul Haq of ‘orders from above’.
Last week, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received ‘orders from above’ to vote for Sadiq Sanjrani during Senate elections.
Speaking to the media outside the anti-terrorism court (ATC) after appearance in the 2014 PTV and parliament attack cases, the KP CM said: “I was referring to Imran Khan when I told Sirajul Haq that we have received orders from above to vote for Sanjrani.”
Pervaiz added that the PTI chief had ordered the party leaders to vote for the candidate from Balochistan since the party believes in providing rights to the people of the province.
“Those who are levelling allegations against me can continue to do so and the person who claims that I had paid him to vote during Senate polls,” he added.
The KP CM stressed that “nobody but Imran can order me” and that he is “extremely disappointed” with those who sold votes. “In PTI, there’s no room for these sort of things,” he said.
