Author: Mustansar Abbas

A petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) challenged the sale of a Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) Airbus A-310 to Germany for a shockingly low price, and moved the court to arrest former PIA CEO Hildenbrand.

The petition holds Hildenbrand responsible for the sale, and claims that the former CEO took the plane with him on his way back to Germany.

The petition claims that the plane which should cost several hundred billion Rupees, was sold for as low as Rs 55 lakhs.

The petitioner is Advocate Nabeel Javed Kahloon who claimed that the sale of the plane was a major loss to the airline and to the exchequer.
