DSPs and SHOs granted a weekly off on Saturdays

LAHORE: All Deputy Superintendents of Police and Station House Officers posted in Cantt division now would enjoy a holiday every Saturday.

According to SP Cantt, Lahore Bilal Zafar the purpose of giving a holiday in the week is to improve the service and working of these officials. He said that this would not only help to achieve the goal of better working but would also help to improve the mental and physical health of the employees.

He said that on leave, the SPs would be replaced by the nearest circle officer and in case of SHOs, the additional SHOs would perform duties on every Saturday, adding that this leave roaster would be applicable from next Monday.

He also said that these officiating circle officers and additional SHOs would be allowed a day off in light of directives approved by the DIG operations. Bilal Zafar while concluding said that within the next couple of days, the police department would consider this option of leave for officials deputed in police stations of Cantt division.
